CRETACEOUS PERIOD

The Cretaceous period started 144 to 65 mya . This period was a period when the Earth started to flourish. This was a time of volcanic activities when the Earth's look changed. Also in this time many new species such as DinosaursReptiles, Birds and new Plants and Rocks were appearing. The Cretaceous was also a time when the life on the Earth came to the era in what we live now.

1) What did you enjoy most about this project?
I enjoyed most finding the pictures and making my video beautiful
2) What was most challenging about this project? Why?
It was when I had to present because somehow my video was incomplete.
3) What you change about this project and why?
I changed the way I put my pictures in a video.
4) What are 3 things that you learned from this project?
I learned about other periods, how was the life in my period, what kind of species lived there.

THE STARS- BLOG ENTRY

WHAT IS A STAR?
1. Stars are huge hot objects that brights. They can be different types, sizes, colors, class. They can have different temperature and luminosity. stars are born in gas clouds and die in the end of their lives.

TYPES OF STARS.
2. There are four types of stars which are main sequence, white dwarfs, giant and supergiant. the stars are also classified by their size, luminosity, spectral class, ages, temperature, color and mass.

Main sequence's stars can be different temperature, luminosity, colors and spectral class. But they are mostly middle size. White dwarf stars are white, small hot, dim and they have very low luminosity. They can have A,B,F spectral class.  Giant stars are very large, cold, but bright.  These stars can have   different spectral class and color. Supergiant are super huge bright stars that can be different colors, temperature and spectral class.

H-R Diagram.
3. H-R diagram or the Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram is a diagram that astronomes use to sort stars on their color, size, temperature, type and luminosity. It also shows releanshiontips and differences between the stars.

NUCLEAR FUSION.

4. Nuclear difusion is when the nuclear reaction inside a star change two hydrogen gas
molecule.

THE LIFE CYCLE OF A STAR.
5.Stars have a life cycle that tells us about how a star was born, how it lived during its life time and how it died. there are three different types of stars that pass throgh different stages.
Sun Like stars are born in  stelar nebulas, the next step after this is becomeing in  red giant stars, then they become planetory nebulas, after this they transform into white dwarfs and finally they finish as black dwarfs.Huge stars begin their lives in stellar nebula too, and then pass into  red giants, then they transforme into supernovas and end their lives as nuclear stars.Giant stars begin in the same way as huge and sun luke stars, but only in the end of their liveing they become black holes.

Hurricane Irene Project

CRITICAL THINKING

1) What effect does water temperature have on the creation a hurricane?
The warm temperature of the ocean water is one of the hurricane's causses that makes the hurricane begin and become stronger.

2) Why would be more damage to an area during high tide?
In the area of the high tide wil be more damage the destruction of buildings, roads, the ground will become much softer.

3) If an area is fully saturated, how will this be more dangerous for an area?
If an area is saturated and the hurricane hits it then its will be a flooding because an area has a lot of water.

4) Why would there be more flooding if the ground was fully saturated?
Because when the hurricane  hits the ground the water moves.

REFLECTION

1) What is something that you liked about this Mini-Project?
I liked when I should type the essay about my topic.

2) What was difficult for you on this project?
The difficult thing on this project was when I tried to find the right  information.

3) What would you change about your work on this project?
I don't want to change anything.

4) How did this project help you learn about Hurricane Irene?
I learned about how the Hurricane happen, what are its causses. How it effects on us.
